I am going to see my doctor on next Friday is there anything i should ask him about anything that you might have seen in my story? I’m also 29 and this started 4 years ago after my second child. I know this is not right I am ready to get answer by asking for lab work any test I have to get done. I don’t want some day to think darn maybe I should have done this before kidney failure comes into play. Thanks guys for the advice

Answer:

You could start by finding out what the composition of your kidney stones is. If it’s calcium then you’re taking in too much or your body is not using it properly. You do have some options. There are non-surgical treatments available through Traditional Chinese Medicine and Homeopathy. Homeopathic treatment can rectify the problem of your body not using calcium effectively as well as dissolve or cause your body to effectively expel the stones. TCM has an excellent protocol for expulsion.

Why was I told to stop taking calcium before a DEXA scan?

I’ve tried to find a simple answer to this question on the web, but am unable to do so. What happens if I don’t? If taking a calcium supplement helps you then wouldn’t it be an important factor to show this on the scan? Please explain why I need to stop.

Answer:

Calcium supplements interfere with accurate test results, therefore they should be discontinued the day before and the day of the exam. Medications containing magnesium such as Milk of Magnesia can also affect the test results.

yes they will check your ID. You must be 18 to buy Diet PIlls in the USA. I suggest looking online. Also, calcium acts as a natural metabolic booster and can be used as a diet pill. 1200 mg in the morning.

Is milk and other dairy products necessary?

Say if you get calcium from other non-dairy food sources, is milk necessary to consume.

This question was not answered by a nutritionist, however another user commented.

Answer:

No. Unless the milk is raw and fresh, it’s a really POOR source of calcium. Pasteurized milk actually leaches calcium out of your bones because of its acidity. The dairy industry has fooled us for a long time. I don’t drink milk anymore, and my bones are stronger. My sinuses are also clearer. It’s just as important to avoid calcium-leaching food as it is to eat calcium-rich food. Calcium-leaching food includes milk, soda, sugar, and refined foods.

How much more do you think I’ll grow?

Hi guys, I just turned 14 and I’m 172cm (5’8″) tall. My dad is 182cm (6’0″) and my mum is 159cm (5’3″), how much taller do you think I’ll get. My uncle on my dad’s side is 188cm (6’2″) and I have two uncles who are 180cm (5’11”) on my mum’s side. My two grandad’s were 5’9″ and 5’10”, my mum is just the short one in her family, cause her bro’s are both 180. I was 157cm at 12, 163cm at 13, and I don’t think I’ve had my growth spurt yet. How tall do you think I’ll be in a year, like at 15? And how tall as an adult?

This question was not answered by a nutritionist, however another user commented.

Answer:

You will probably peak at 6’0 at 18. To grow taller plenty of protein, calcium, vitamin D and zinc all help. To reach your potential height you need adequate sleep (from 8-10 hours per night), adequate calories and a normal healthy diet. Plenty of protein from eggs, meat, poultry, sea food and dairy products helps as well as calcium from milk, cheese and other dairy products. You also need plenty of zinc from red meat, oysters, mussels, nuts and seeds and zinc fortified cereals such as Weetbix. Vitamin D3 via the Sun also helps. Girls usually stop growing at 15 and in most cases any further height growth from 15-21 is insignificant but there are exceptions such as late bloomers. Guys usually stop growing at 18 and in most cases any further height growth from 18-25 is insignificant but there are exceptions such as late bloomers. Under eating and under sleeping can, to some extent, stunt your height growth. Exercise does not help your height growth and smoking can actually reduce your potential height by a whole inch. You can see further tips in a web search for “how to grow taller”.

Boiling bones for marrow and calcium – skim oil or eat it?

I’m boiling large “knuckle” bones to extract calcium, marrow and other goodies. Planning on making a soup stock. There is a thick layer of yellow oil on top, do I skim and discard it or keep it? Is this bad fat or is it good stuff? I notice that this oil hardens at room temperature.

This question was not answered by a nutritionist, however another user commented.

Answer:

The fat is saturated fat. Skim it off. Your making soup stock — that’s all. Boiling bones will not extract calcium. Calcium is part of a bones composition. There is little to no value (or flavor) in digesting (eating) bone marrow. Bones in soup stock extracts fats (flavor). But that’s all.

is honey, grapes, rasins, peaches , apples good source for protecting thining of the bones (osteoperosis)?

dates, grapes raisins, beans, almonds and honey contain boron which prevents bone thining. which is without boron the body cannot retain calcium. calcium & vit. D is not enough without boron. any one can approve this suggestion?

This question was not answered by a nutritionist, however another user commented.

Answer:

What you need is calcium and weight-bearing exercise. See a doctor for a bone density test, because you might be in need of a prescription to build bone density, as well, especially if osteoporosis runs in the family.

What should I take for sinus conjestion?

Off the shelf.

This question was not answered by a nutritionist, however another user commented.

Answer:

Try cutting out dairy products from your diet. I found that really helped me. I didn’t like taking medication all the time and sinus washouts are one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I used to be a big milk drinker. Just be sure to get your calcium from other sources though otherwise you’ll end up with worse problems.
